Must Reading, Op-Ed piece that appeared in the NY Times Oct. 24, 2024
It is some really nuanced reading written by two men who have written books about how democracies fail. This particular article, as far as I'm concerned, is one that all serious Democrats should read, as well as anybody of any party who gives a hoot at all about what might be happening to us in less than two weeks.
It's a real "look in the mirror" piece, but it does explain how we've failed, and the only sliver of hope and action that we might have left.

Minivan App Tutorial

A brief tutorial on how to use the MiniVan mobile app for canvassing. A political campaign, nonprofit, or grassroots organization can create a list of names and addresses for volunteers / staff to visit and talk to. When a volunteer / staff member is provided a "list number", that number can be entered into the app to download the prepared list of names and addresses. This will allow the volunteer / staff member to canvass for their campaign or cause, enter useful data such as reporting that the person listed has "moved" or was actually visited and spoken to, and then allows for this data to be synced with via the mobile device.
You can download the app for free from both the ITunes and Google Play stores. You will need an "Action ID" to login and you can create one for free when you open up the app.

Trump says “in four years, you don’t have to vote again.”
Here is an exerpt from an article in the Washington Post:
At the conclusion of his speech, at the Believers Summit in West Palm Beach, Fla., Trump said, “Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. … You got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”
If Trump wins it will be the end of the Constitution and the implementation of Project 2025. This may be the most important election in the history of this country.
