TRENTON, NJ: Leroy J. Jones Jr., Chairman of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, released the following statement:
“President Trump's Executive Order dismantling the Department of Education is callous and cruel. The fact that the President of the United States can take his pen and with one swipe erase school funding for millions of students is nothing short of vindictive. Vital resources that go to K-12 students -- mostly low-income students and students with disabilities -- are now simply gone because the President of the United States wants to wage war on our families, our teachers. and our public education system.
And what is most appalling to me, as a father and grandfather, is that our Republican Party here in New Jersey is cheering this on. They refuse to stand up for New Jersey families and educators. They refuse to stand up for what is right. And I hope every voter remembers this day come November when they have to make a choice for Governor: The Republican Party deserted you today, and you should remember it."

By Eric Englund
"Various Democratic Party organizations in South Jersey converged on Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew’s Atlantic County office on March 13, demanding he fight back against what they called '“the indiscriminate, capricious, and frankly dangerous cuts to our government services carried out by Elon Musk and his DOGE team.” '

This entry is from an Email received from Jamie Raskin. We should all do this:
On March 15th, many people will mail Donald Trump a postcard that publicly expresses our opposition to him. And we, in vast numbers, from all corners of the world, will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure. We will show the media and the politicians what standing with him — and against us — means. And most importantly, we will bury the White House post office in pink slips, all informing Donnie that he’s fired.
Each of us — every protester from every march, each congress calling citizen, every boycotter, volunteer, donor, and petition signer — if each of us writes even a single postcard and we put them all in the mail on the same day, March 15th, well: you do the math.
No alternative fact or Russian translation will explain away our record-breaking, officially-verifiable, warehouse-filling flood of fury.
So, sharpen your wit, unsheathe your writing implements, and send your strongest message to ruffle Donald’s famously thin skin.
Prepare for March 15th, 2025, a day hereafter to be known as #TheIdesOfTrump.
Write one postcard. Write a dozen! Take a picture of your post cards and post it on social media tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump! Spread the word! Everyone on Earth should let Donnie know how he’s doing. They can’t build a wall high enough to stop the mail.
Then, on March 15th, mail your messages to:
President (for now) Donald J. Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500I
Pink Slips for Donnie (Theidesoftrump)

I recently contacted Andy Kim to give him my thoughts on how the government is being controlled by the criminal toddler-in-chief. Here is his response:
It is some really nuanced reading written by two men who have written books about how democracies fail. This particular article, as far as I'm concerned, is one that all serious Democrats should read, as well as anybody of any party who gives a hoot at all about what might be happening to us in less than two weeks.
It's a real "look in the mirror" piece, but it does explain how we've failed, and the only sliver of hope and action that we might have left.
